29 Weeks and a Sprinkle of Pink!

What a fun time we had on Friday! My sister is in town from Texas and threw a small, intimate sprinkle for me and the baby. It was so cute and perfect! Traditionally, a third baby wouldn't get a shower, but since she is a girl, a sprinkle of pink was perfect.

To celebrate we had yummy appetizers, delicious soup, salad and sandwiches. I am so thankful for these lovely women in my life who were there to celebrate.
These are some amazing ladies. You can't see my mom or my cousin Emily, but they were there with me.
We had a lot of fun opening the gifts, Jack especially! He kept saying how cute everything was! It was adorable. I was dying from all the cuteness. Here are some of the highlights:
So excited for pink!
My mom bought the baby her first tutu! We were all dying of cuteness. Look at Jack's face in this picture! Priceless!
So excited to be a big brother to his little sister!
It was truly fun, and I am so thankful for the love this baby has already received. She will be one loved little girl, and well dressed too!
Here is the weekly update!

Pregnant!

Its been a while since I posted. There is a good reason! I am pregnant! Most people know already but, now its official on my blog. I am excited to keep updates for myself and others who are interested on the blog.

So here is the story about how we found out that our precious little number 3 was on the way. We had been discussing another baby for quite some time. We decided that a January or later baby would be perfect. In order to prepare, I went off the pill in March. I thought it would take my body sometime to come off of birth control, but nope! We actually were trying to avoid a December baby, but sometimes God has other plans.

I took a test the day my period was due, but it was negative. I was annoyed because, being a planner, I wanted to start trying as soon as I could. Well the Monday after Easter, I just felt like I was pregnant. I took a test after work, after holding it for a long time! I was so surprised to see the lightest little line. I was pregnant!

My mind then raced to think of how I would tell Matt. I wanted to do something cute, like when I told him Jack was on the way, but this was real life now. He came home and I said I have something to show you. I handed him the test. He was so excited! Unfortunately, we didn't get to relish the moment too much because we had to hurry off to Seattle Children's for Jack's plastic surgery appointment.

Sometimes it still feels so surreal that another little person will be joining us at the end of December. We are all so excited to meet this little one.

How we told our famiy, and friends that number 3 was on the way!

Taylor's Baby Shower!

In April, my aunt Kathleen and I threw Taylor a baby shower for baby Levi! We ordered a very cute invitation from etsy that featured blue mason jars, which became our "theme".
Here are some highlights.
The living room of Kathleen's house before the guests arrived. Her decor matched perfectly!
I made this banner using burlap from Hobby Lobby and my Cricut to stencil the letters. I then sewed(!) it and strung twine like rope through it!
We had our guests fill our wishes for baby. I got these from Inklings Paperie. They were so cute and came with a little tin for Taylor to store them in. I got the adorable subway art from  the blog eighteen25.
We served lemonade in these cute bottles
I made this banner with my Cricut. It says, "Hello baby"

Kathleen's friend is starting a cupcake business and kindly made these delicious cupcakes for the occasion. The colors matched perfectly!
To keep the guests interested in the opening of gifts, I ordered baby bingo from Inklings Paperie. Everyone filled in their guesses for gifts Taylor might receive. They then checked them off as she opened gifts. When they got a Bingo they got a scratch ticket! We had three gifts and three winners. People got very excited!
All the gifts for the mama to be!
It was such a great day! We all had fun celebrating Taylor and baby Levi. I am so excited to be an auntie! I can hardly wait!

Taylor's having a baby!

In October, we found out that my sister Taylor, was expecting a baby! It was shocking and exciting news! I am so excited to be an auntie. I worried there for a bit that my boys wouldn't have any cousins close in age, but we are so excited that baby is only going to be 18 months younger than Henry.

In January, Taylor had a gender reveal party. We were super excited to see what the little nugget would be! She had cupcakes in pink and blue, Hershey's bars, yummy soup and lots of excitement.
I picked out a jammie set in each gender, so Taylor would have a gift to open! I hid them in the car :)

Each person wore their guess of what they thought the baby would be. Here was the beginning tally! My vote was boy!
To make the big reveal, everyone popped the balloons at the same time. The confetti was our answer!juuu

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!
