A Moveable Feast! Food Trucks Galore!
Sunday, we went to Tacoma's first Food Truck Festival, called A Moveable Feast. There were food trucks from all over the region, ranging from Filipino to Mexican to Greek to German to Caribbean. So much food, so little tummy space. We walked around, listened to music, enjoyed the crowd, admired food and even ate a little too.
Matt found some Greek food. He was yearning for a gyro! He ended up with a lamb one.
Jack enjoyed the music and the french fries from Athena's. He kills me every time he wears these sunglasses. He fit right in with the Tacoma Hipsters.
I was hoping for some tacos, one to check off our bucket list and because it sounded yummy! I saw a truck with a modern twist on Mexican. Perfect! I got a mushroom taco with roasted pumpkin seeds and a roasted poblano sauce. They were perfection.
I hope this becomes an annual event because it was so fun!

Ramrod 2012
Yesterday my dad finished his third Ramrod! Ramrod is a 150 mile bike ride that goes around Mount Rainier in one day. It is pretty impressive. My mom and I took the boys and a picnic lunch up to the mountain to cheer on Papa!
Matt had to work, so it was just my mom and me. Jack fell asleep right before we were about to leave. He is just too cute, I had to share his picture. Yes, he is still wearing his pajama shirt. Its just how it goes sometimes.
We made it to the mountain, and found a shady little pull off area. We set up some chairs, ate some lunch and cheered on the bikers. We had a lot of potty drama. Let me tell you, it is hard having a child that is still learning to use the potty. Good thing mama brings lots of underwear and shorts! Poor guy.
Henry really enjoyed being outside. He loved watching the cars and bikes go by, as well as the occasional butterfly.
We got excited for every group of bikers that came through. We were looking for dad wearing a red helmet and red shirt. We spotted him!
There he goes!
He did an awesome job! It was a hot day, but he did it. I am so proud of him, and my mom who has done Ramrod in the past. They are rockin' it for being grandparents!

A Day Out With Thomas
Today we went to Snoqualmie and had a day out with Thomas. Jack has been counting down the days until we got to see Thomas.
We woke up to very loud thunder, lightening and lots of rain! We said a little prayer that it would clear up for our Thomas day. It ended up being dry. Here are some pictures to show our day! We had a lot of fun!
We had a great experience. We were all tired and ready for naps after our day out!

This is my favorite picture of the day. Jack was in awe as the train began to move.
Henry was flirting with the little girl next to us. They were holding hands.
Snoqualmie Falls was right outside our window on the train. It was gorgeous!

Birthday Time!
I had a fantastic birthday! I was spoiled by love and attention all day. I even had a birthday party! I was telling Matt on my birthday, that I cannot even remember the last time I had a party for my birthday. It was very fun!
I am very lucky and got two things I wanted pretty bad for my birthday.
I have been dying for a new camera bag and saw the Jototes bags. Adorable! I pinned it and dropped some (non) subtle hints to my family. My mom and dad bought me this and I adore it! Thanks guys!
Matt and the boys got me a sewing machine. It was high time I grew up and got my own sewing machine. I am super excited to start sewing! I have been pinning beginner projects on pinterest to start me out!
We worked really hard on our yard to get it ready for the party, and planted our new tree. My mom was a huge help with this project! We ate yummy grilled veggie fajitas, drank beer margaritas (YUMMY!), and enjoyed ice cream cake! Here are some pics from the day!
Thank you to all the friends and family who made it to my first 29th birthday! Next year is the big 3-0! I can't wait to see what the next year brings!
