Daffodil Parade!

Last weekend, well almost two weekends ago, we went to the Daffodil Parade. The parade holds a special place in my heart. As a child, we went every year with our aunts and cousins. My one aunt would bring loads of candy and we would sit on the sidewalk and chow down. I loved seeing the Daffodil Princesses and wished one day I could be one. Sadly, that dream never came true. I loved the colorful floats, the bands, the clowns on tiny bikes, and even the scary seafare pirates. I dreamed of some day bringing my own kiddos to the parade.

We went last year. Jack thought it was pretty cool, and Henry was just a bean in my belly. This year Jack was totally pumped. He danced to every band that came by, even the bagpipes! I love his dancing! He has this shake thing he does that is hilarious. Here is Jack and Daddy ready for the parade!

Henry slept for a lot of the parade but woke up to take it all in! All was going well until a group of mustangs made their way down Pacific. They were going really slow and revving their engines so loud right in front of us! Jack wanted nothing to do with the noises. He kept saying, "go bye-bye mama." We stayed for a bit more and he kind of calmed down, then came cannon noises, and clowns! Oh boy, my chid is very afraid of clowns! When the Shriners Clowns came by, Jack climbed me like a tree. He was so scared. We decided to leave and both boys passed out in the car on the way home.
Jack with Nana. He does not look happy. My mom and dad rode their bikes and met us at the parade.

Henry's first parade and our first parade as a family of 4!

Sleepy Jack
They took naps and we spent the day in gorgeous sunshine! Jack even tried something besides the swings at the park.  It was a fabulous day!
